Your WhatsApp Status is seen by the people who know you best: family, friends, classmates and colleagues. That makes it one of the most natural places to share your faith. Here’s a simple 7-day plan to get started.
Before you start
- Pray for the people who view your Status. Write down 3–5 names.
- Keep it real. Share what God is actually doing in your life, not just nice quotes.
- Invite replies. Ask a question, because a reply opens a private conversation.
The 7-day plan
Day 1: A verse that means something to you
Post a verse image with one line on why it matters to you. Try Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Day 2: Something you’re thankful for
A photo from your day, plus a short line thanking God for it. Gratitude is attractive and easy to relate to.
Day 3: Ask a question
“What’s one thing you’re worried about this week? I’d love to pray for you.” Reply personally to everyone who responds.
Day 4: A short video
Share a short gospel clip from the Jesus Film App or the Falling Plates film, with one sentence about what it shows.
Day 5: Your story in three lines
Life before, how you met Jesus, and what’s different now. Keep it short and honest.
Day 6: Answered prayer or lesson learned
Share something God has taught you or done recently. Real stories start real conversations.
Day 7: An invitation
“If you’ve ever wondered who Jesus really is, message me. Happy to chat.” Or invite people to church, a group, or to look through GodTools together.
When someone replies
- Thank them and ask a follow-up question. Listen more than you talk.
- If they’re curious, walk through a GodTools conversation guide together.
- Keep praying, and follow up after a few days.
